Testimonials
"Ms. Bratton held the space I needed to slowly get used to the programs,
She was patient and encouraged me to do my best." ~

"Thank you for all you do. There are a lot of us (spouses) that struggle. It feels like people who have not lived this lifestyle don't understand or know how to handle the struggles, and constant instability like veteran spouses do. Thank You."

You are wonderful! The FRG Loved the Spouses CheckList!!

DBT SKILL Groups for DEPLOYMENT

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) was developed by Marsha Linehan in the late 1980s It is a “skills-based” therapy that teaches practical, actionable skills to help with managing black and white thinking and sudden/extreme emotional reactions.
DBT consists of four modules:
-
Mindfulness
This module focuses on helping a person to be present & non-judgmental. -
Distress Tolerance
This involves learning skills that help tolerate intense emotions so that a person is not at the mercy of “knee-jerk reactions” (which can often make the situation worse). -
Emotion Regulation
This module focuses on helping a person to understand his/her emotions and reduce vulnerability to them. Emotions are assessed in terms of whether they “fit the facts” & if acting on them is effective. The person is taught skills for changing emotions when they are inappropriate or ineffective -
Interpersonal Effectiveness helps people navigate relationships effectively, including getting needs met, maintaining harmony in relationships, and increasing self-respect.
Art Therapy Groups

In 2018, MICHELLE ISAKSEN attended a local "paint and sip" gathering. Having never dabbled in painting or drawing, she was hesitant to participate. Today, she says, "it was the gateway to discovering her love for art." She never imagined she would open an art studio of her own! Michelle hosts monthly events and private parties.
Involvement in the creative arts has been therapeutic and satisfying.
Michelle is an entrepreneur, wife & mother of 8!
"In 2007, Michelle and her husband adopted a sibling group of 4 and had a baby of their own (1 week later)! Eventually, they welcomed 3 additional children to the mix, the youngest being a set of twins who are now three years old!
Michelle and I are teaming up to provide the 12-week cohort with 2 art therapy groups a month. That is a total of 6 different projects in the safety of your home with the same small group cohort that started on a live zoom session.
BONUS the materials will be shipped to you to ensure that everyone in the group can participate.
DOUBLE BONUS, you will be allowed to purchase extra materials if you want to share the experience with your family.
